Day 1 - International Flight - Los Angeles to Auckland
From USA to New Zealand Shortly after departing Los Angeles you will be served dinner and you will be given breakfast before landing in Auckland.

Day 2 - Day Tour - Auckland Harbour Cruise
Visit a true thing of beauty and cruise the sparkling waters of Waitemata Harbour!

Head out on this one and a half hour tour to see the Devonport Naval Base, travel past the township and North Head, then cruise towards the iconic Rangitoto Island as you pass the historic Bean Rock lighthouse. You'll pass under the Harbour Bridge twice and then off to Westhaven Marina to catch a glance at the viaduct harbour bustling with super yachts! This cruise also gives you a chance to "hop-on, hop-off" and discover nearby islands at your leisure.

Day 3 - Day Tour - Bay of Islands
Marvel at spectacular coastal scenery including the Hole in the Rock, Cathedral Cave and the inner islands while aboard a luxury catamaran. Also see the historic Waitangi Treaty House and a 'waka' (Maori war canoe).

Travel north over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and enjoy spectacular rural & coastal scenery enroute to the Bay of Islands via Hibiscus Coast and Whangarei. Bay of Islands is one of the most picturesque and popular vacation sites in New Zealand and was the site of the earliest contact between the indigenous population and European settlers. Take a trip into the past and visit such historical places as the Waitangi Treaty House, see a traditional Maori Meeting House and a huge 'waka' (war canoe), Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Flagstaff Hill and the oldest building in the country (Kemp House) along with the oldest Church. In the early afternoon at Cape Brett, board a luxury catamaran for your cruising adventure through game fishing waters as you cruise past the Cape Brett lighthouse to the famous 'Hole in the Rock'. The excitement grows as you make a passage through the Hole and then continue on to the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. On your return journey relax and enjoy subtropical paradise views with your favourite drink as you meander through the inner islands back to Cape Brett which are world renowned deep sea fishing grounds where porpoise (dolphins) and schools of fish are frequently seen. Day 4 - Deluxe Coach from Auckland to Rotorua
Experience New Zealand's rich cultural heritage and the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua, plus a trip through the famous glowworm caves at Waitomo, on this full day sightseeing tour by deluxe luxury coach.

Depart Auckland: Travel the main Southern Highway through small rural townships steeped in early pioneer history. Your host serves morning tea during this sector.

<B>Waikato:</B> Travel through New Zealand's largest dairy and sheep farming province. See the small farming settlements on the outskirts of Hamilton City, as you travel towards King Country, birthplace of the Maori Monarchy.

<B>Agrodome Farm Tour:</B> An introduction to New Zealand farming, with a 45-minute tour of an authentic working farm in all-weather, all-terrain vehicles. Watch a sheep being shorn and hand-feed the animals.

<B>Lake Rotorua:</B> Drive through the foreshore park past the hundreds of ducks and swans. Then travel through the beautiful historic Government Gardens.

<B>Te Puia Institute (Maori Arts, Crafts & Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve):</B> One of Rotorua's most famous attractions. See woodcarving, weaving displays, Maori village and the thermal valley with the famous Pohutu Geyser, fumaroles, colourful silica deposits and boiling mud pools.

Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, Wellington, New Zealand Karori Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected natural area where the bio-diversity of a square mile of forest is being restored.

The Sanctuary is a world first conservation attraction where a unique protected natural area is being patiently restored. Some of New Zealand's rarest and most endangered wildlife has been released inside the Sanctuary like the little spotted kiwi, tuatara, saddleback, stitchbird and kaka.

Stroll leisurely around natural bush, lakes and historical buildings at your own pace or book a guided tour during the day or night. You can walk across a unique historic dam, see a 19th century goldmine carved deep into the hillside, take a scenic ride on an electric boat or picnic on the lawns by the wetlands. Day 8 - Travel by Ship from Wellington to Picton
The 92 km journey across Cook Strait between Wellington (North Island) and Picton (South Island) takes only 3 hours and has been described as "one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world".

Make your way from Wellington to Picton aboard one of 3 amazing ferries and take in the spectacular views along the way. See the South Island's Kaikoura ranges and have the opportunity to spot dolphins and sea birds.

Day 9 - Day Tour - Alpine Safari
See the spectacular mountain vistas of Arthur's Pass National Park and immerse yourself in New Zealand's high country scenery on this journey through the South Island. Your day begins with a hotel pick up that takes you to the train station for boarding on the famous TranzAlpine train, rated one of the top six train journeys in the world. Once harnessed your lowered to the release 'station'. Let the thrill take over! As you swing away the biggest surprise is not knowing when you'll change from fall to swing. Just as your brain convinces you the fall will never stop, you begin arching out 400 metres over Queenstown.

The nightlife in Queenstown is famous for being fast and furious, so we decided to do the same with the Sky Swing. The Ledge Sky Swing is the only swing operating at night. It might pay to leave dinner to afterwards if you know what we mean.
Day 13 - Day Tour - Doubtful Sounds - Ends in Te Anau
Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, New Zealand When you discover Doubtful Sound you will be struck by its silence, a silence broken only by birdsong, or maybe the rushing of a distant waterfall.

Your Doubtful Sound adventure begins as you cruise the crystal clear waters of Lake Manapouri. Then its over Wilmot Pass, stopping along the way to experience some of Fiordland's densest rainforest and to view the colourful alpine moss gardens.

On reaching Deep Cove, you will board our spacious catamaran for a three hour cruise that takes in the most dramatic scenery of Doubtful Sound. Our skippers provide a detailed commentary and point out highlights. Keep a look out for wildlife as bottlenose dolphins frequently come alongside our vessel, fur seals bask on the rocks around the fiord and rare penguins can at times be observed. Full Day Tour.

Te Anau, New Zealand Tucked away on the shores of New Zealand's second largest lake, Te Anau is an inviting South Island town.

Te Anau is your gateway to the walking capital of the world. Discover the internationally renowned walks of the Milford Track,the Routeburn, Hollyford,Kepler Track and many more. Cruise the remote depths of Milford and Doubtful Sounds, visit the spectacular lakes of Te Anau and Manapouri, experience Te Anau's magical glowworm caves. In Fiordland you can go hiking, caving, boating, diving, biking, play golf, go fly fishing, sky dive. Your Te Anau Glowworm Cave adventure begins with a scenic cruise across Lake Te Anau to the western side of the lake. Upon arrival there is time to view informative displays at Cavern House before our friendly guides invite you to accompany them underground in small groups. Explore a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of thousands of glowworms in the glowworm grotto.

Day 14 - Shuttle Transfer from Te Anau to Bluff

Days 14 to 16 - 2 Nights Accommodation on Stewart Island

With georgous bays, beautiful sand beaches and densely forested hills, Stewart Island has a combination of landscapes. Stewart Island has been named `The Home of the Kiwi.` It has the highest number of accessible species in New Zealand.In just one day, one can usually access over 30 species. Bonus sitings can be, Bottlenose Dolphin, Fur Seal, Sealion, the occasional Sea Elephant and whales. A visit to Stewart Island isn't complete without a browse through the Rakiura Museum. The museum has a collection of items and photographs of Stewart Island`s history. For example the Maori settlement, muttonbirding, fishing, timber milling, mining, boat building, schools and churches.

During your tour, there is plenty of time available for photo stops and short walks. Highlights include Lee Bay, the gateway to Rakiura National Park; beautiful Horseshoe Bay and stunning views of Paterson Inlet from Observation Rock.

You will encounter rare and endangered bird and plant speciesin this paradise for birds and bird lovers, only 266 hectares with great walking tracks, located in the southern-most island of New Zealand, Stewart Island.

Today fly from Invercargill to Auckland with a connection in Christchurch.

Day 16 - International Flight - Auckland to Los Angeles
International flight from Auckland to Los Angeles Today depart Auckland and fly to the USA. Enjoy an in-flight dinner and movie with arrival in the USA. Note: you will be traveling back across the International Date Line. Gain that day back you lost on the way over, you actually arrive in the USA on the same day you leave Auckland.
